Replacement Policy

Eligibility

ShieldSOS provides replacements solely at its discretion for Devices proven defective under the limited warranty (typically 1 year from purchase, per sales receipt). Replacements apply only to manufacturing defects present at delivery, not misuse, abuse, unauthorized modifications, normal wear, or customer-induced damage.

Warranty Claims Process

  1. Contact support@shieldsos.com or (888) 855-1628, extension 2, within warranty period, providing proof of purchase, Device serial number, and detailed defect description/photos.
  2. Wait for confirmation of Return Authorization, ShieldSOS may first require troubleshooting or video verification.
  3. If approved, ship Device (at customer expense) to designated address using trackable carrier. Include all original components/accessories.
  4. Replacements ship only after inspection confirms warranty defect; process takes 7-14 business days.

Replacement Terms

  • Replacement Device may be new, refurbished, or equivalent model at ShieldSOS's choice.
  • Original shipping/handling fees non-refundable; customer pays return shipping unless defect confirmed.
  • Risk of loss during transit rests with customer. ShieldSOS not liable for lost/damaged shipments.
  • No consecutive replacements, repeated issues may void warranty.

Exclusions & Limitations

  • No replacements for consumables (e.g., pepper spray canisters), lost/stolen Devices, or third-party purchased items.
  • International warranty claims ineligible for replacement; repairs/refunds per local law only.
  • All risk of Device use remains with customer; no implied warranties of performance or fitness.

General Provisions

FOB shipping point. Title/risk transfers upon carrier handover. Force majeure events excuse delays. This policy supplements Terms of Use and is subject to change without notice.
